This edition of the Night Shift was all about THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING ALBUM!! I chose three albums that I had been rediscovering and crushing on over the past few months, and I let you out there in the social media community vote for which one would be played in full. Would it be the socially conscious, eclectic hip hop-soul bouillabaisse that is Fugees‘ The Score? The complex yet intimate and beautiful post-jazz adventures of Toronto natives Do Make Say Think’s Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn? or shall it be the funky, mysterious, ambient dreamscapes of Air’s Moon Safari? After a truly epic battle, The Score emerged as the victor. Along with that excellent album, I featured some life changing, heat warming, body shaking music from the likes of Rokia Traore, Ink, Bonobo, Eluvium, Shigeto and Pick A Piper.
